Millions of mourners in Karbala to mark Arbaeen

Millions of pilgrims from across the world are in Iraq’s holy city of Karbala to mark 40 days since the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad. 

Preaching project of Arbaeen Pilgrimage

The Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas Holy Shrine has launched its preaching project prepared for the pilgrims heading to commemorate the Arbaeen Pilgrimage at Karbala’s holy shrines. A large number of seminary lecturers were dispersed among stations along the main Najaf-Karbala Road.

Peaceful-coexistence pact signed in Mosul – sponsored by Imam Hussain Shrine

In cooperation with Sanad For Peace Organization, the delegation of the Imam Hussein Shrine has held a workshop in the city of Mosul to support and discuss a cooperation pact in terms of confronting social challenges and committing to the principles of peaceful coexistence in Tal-A’fer District.

Resting places planned for Arbaeen pilgrims

The Dar-ol-Quran affiliated to Imam Ali holy shrine announced that it is ready to implement resting places for Arbaeen pilgrims in Basra Province, Iraq.
