Millions march to Holy Shrine of Imam Musa al-Kadhum

Millions of Ahullbayt followers have participated in the march towards the holy city of Kadhumiya and performed the ritual of carrying the symbolic coffin of Imam Musa al-Kadhum, peace be upon him.

The Kadhumiya Holy Shrine announced the influx of more than six million pilgrims, as stated in a press release by Secretary-General Jamal al-Dabagh. 

This is while thousands of mourners commemorated the day in the holy shrines of Imam Redha and Sayyida Masouma in the holy Iranian cities of Mashhad and Qom.

Islamic centers and husseiniyahs around the world including the house of Ayatollah Shirazi held mourning processions and orators delivered speeches highlighting the oppression faced by the Imam in his life , especially in prison.

It is noteworthy that many Shia channels are covering the mourning ceremonies and processions including Imam Hussein TV in Arabic, Persian, English and Turkish.
