Quran contest held in London

The Quran institute affiliated to the holy shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him, organized a Quran competition in London.

 

The Quran institute affiliated to the holy shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him, organized a Quran competition in London.

According to al-Kafeel website, earlier this week, the institute’s branch in the British capital organized the event for Qaris above the age of 18.

The contest was held in the category of Quran recitation and attended by Qaris from different cities of Britain. 

A number of Quran experts. Including Jalal Mahmoudi, Haidar Mousawi and Hani al-Ward formed the panel of judges.

The panel announced Mustafa al-Ali, Yasir Mahdi and Hussein Salih as the three top winners.

The awarding ceremony was attended by a number of Quranic and religious figures as well as Iraq’s ambassador to Britain.
