Gathering of women Quran memorizers underway in Karbala

The second convention of Iraqi women Quran memorizers has been underway in the holy city of Karbala since Saturday.

 

The second convention of Iraqi women Quran memorizers has been underway in the holy city of Karbala since Saturday.

According to media, the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has organized the event in cooperation with the Basaer Quranic Institute.

More than 250 women from different provinces of the Arab country have participated in the program.

It is the greatest national gathering of women Quran activists and memorizers of the entire Quran in Iraq that serves as a venue for the participants to exchange experiences in memorization of the Holy Quran.

The five-day program includes speeches, Quran recitation sessions and seminars on Quranic issues.

The Imam Hassan (AS) town for pilgrims in Karbala is hosting the gathering until February 13.
