Imam Ali Holy Shrine covered in black to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Fatima al-Zahra

On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, employees of Imam Ali Holy Shrine began to cover the walls of the holy courtyard in black cloths and banners. 

Hassan Al-Kaabi, assistant manager of the Embroidery Department, said that the department started hanging black banners in honor of the martyrdom anniversary Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her.

He added, that 25 banners were spread at the entrances of the holy courtyard.

It is noteworthy that on the eighth of the month of Rabi’ al-Thani, Shias commemorate the tragedy that befell the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon them, and pilgrims head towards the holy shrine of her husband, the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.
