Fire at Grand Mosque in Mecca leaves 14 injured

A fire broke out on Wednesday night at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, leaving 14 people injured.

 

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority spokesperson confirmed that three injured people were transferred to hospital while other 11 received first-aid treatment.

Several news sources said the fire reported that the fire, which started in the wooden scaffolding at the mosque’s expansion area, was quickly contained.
