IS supporters reportedly intended to blow up 12 police stations in Tajikistan

several possible terror attacks planned by supporters of the so-called Islamic State terrorist group

 

Tajik authorities say two merchants running shops at Dushanbe’s Korvon market have been arrested on suspicion of planning terror attacks in Dushanbe, Kulob, Rasht and Fayzobod.

Tajik national TV channels reported that police and the security services have prevented several possible terror attacks planned by supporters of the so-called Islamic State terrorist group.

According to the Interior Ministry, they were going to commit terror attacks during the last ten days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

A large number of oxygen cylinders and other substances necessary to conduct explosions were reportedly confiscated from them.
