Ceremony held to celebrate Kufa nomination as capital of Alawite Caliphate

Private Secretariat of the Grand Mosque of Kufa has held a ceremony to celebrate the nomination of Kufa as the capital of Alawite Caliphate 1400 years ago

 

Private Secretariat of the Grand Mosque of Kufa has held a ceremony to celebrate the nomination of Kufa as the capital of Alawite Caliphate 1400 years ago.

The ceremony was attended by a number of Iraqi officials and religious figures. The guardian of the mosque said that this event is marked annually as it gives the city of Kufa greatness and sanctity.

It is noteworthy that the Grand Mosque of Kufa witnessed construction after the fall of the tyrant regime of Iraq.
