At least two Shia pilgrims have died at Taftan border town due to lack of facilities in the hot weather.

Shia pilgrims have been stopped at the Taftan border town for last six days and it seems old policy continues even during PTI-leg government in Pakistan against pilgrims.

Thousands of Shia Muslims have begun their journey to Karbala to take part in the pilgrimage of Arbaeen, how ever, On return, they were ordered as usual to stay there as long as security forces form security convoy to depart to Quetta.

Due to bad weather and lack of essential facilities in Taftan border town, two Zaireen died there. Others are holding protest sit-in against the government and security forces because of their negligence, two Zaireen died.

An ordinary citizen can afford travel to pilgrimage via land border because of their financial position and when Zaireen return they don’t have enough money to afford long stay. But, biased officials don’t care and prolong their stay without providing needed facilities to them.

Minister of State for Interior Sheharyar Afridi had visited Taftan border town which was lauded by Shia Muslims and they believed change had come to Pakistan but deaths of Zaireen has defamed PTI-led government.
