The organization said in a statement received by Shiawaves that “it had obtained documented evidence of the occurrence of bloody abuses in Nigeria on 30 October by the security forces and the army.”
The organization added that “according to the evidence, Nigerian troops fired live ammunition without warning at a crowd of civilians commemorating a religious occasion, killing and injuring dozens, including women and children.”
The organization said that “the Nigerian authorities are holding hundreds of Shia Muslims for sectarian reasons, while Sheikh Zakazaki remained in prison without trial for years despite the deterioration of his health, due to the brutal torture he suffered.”
