Iraq: Terrorist cell found containing weapons, food supplies and explosives in Tarmiyah

The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Iraq on Monday found a terrorist cell containing weapons, food supplies and explosives in Tarmiyah district north of Baghdad.

 

 

The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in Iraq on Monday found a terrorist cell containing weapons, food supplies and explosives in Tarmiyah district north of Baghdad.

“The PMU launched the third day of operations of the Second Victory to hunt ISIS remnants and purge areas north of Baghdad,” said an official PMU statement, pointing out that soldiers from the Eighth Brigade found a cell containing small arms and sniper rifles as well as food supplies and explosives in the village of al-Tabi, southwest of Tarmiyah. 

The statement added, “The PMUalso seized weapons in one of the orchards nearby,” noting that their operations will continue.
