Iraq: More than 1326 IDPs return to Mosul

The Iraqi Ministry of Displacement and Migration announced the return of 1326 displaced people to Mosul and Nineveh areas.

The Iraqi Ministry of Displacement and Migration announced the return of 1326 displaced people to Mosul and Nineveh areas.

Ministry spokesman Ali Abbas Jahakir said in a statement that “1326 displaced people returned from the camps of southern Mosul to the neighborhoods and areas of Nineveh province,” noting that “this was done in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and the Joint Operations Command.”

He added that “buses have been allocated to transport the IDPs who want to return voluntarily from the camps of Hammam al-Alil and Jadaa south of Mosul to their areas of origin in the province of Nineveh.” 

“The areas that displaced families have returned to include Makhmour, Al Hadar, Mosul, Badoush, Tal Abta, Rabia, Baaj, Qayyarah, Kasak, Mahlabiyah, Nimrud, Tal Abta, Hamidat, Hammam Al Alil, Rabia and Sinjar,” he added.
