European Parliament approves Iraq’s proposal to allocate a global day for victims of terrorism

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that the European Parliament agreed to Iraq’s proposal to set a world day for victims of terrorism.

 

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that the European Parliament agreed to Iraq’s proposal to set a world day for victims of terrorism.

“The European Parliament, in its general session held on June 20, agreed to include an Iraqi proposal presented by the Iraqi Embassy in Brussels to allocate a global day to the victims of ISIS terrorists of an authoritative entity, ” spokesman Ahmed Mahjoub said in a statement received by Alsumaria News .

“It will be voted on the proposal in the parliament session to be held in Strasbourg for a period of 2-6 July next,” adding that ” the embassy will work in coordination with the European Parliament to choose the right day, which will be the anniversary commemorate the annual victims of ISIS terror in Iraq and the world.”
