Fire in Detroit mosque twice in 2 days

A mosque on Van Dyke Avenue in Detroit, US state of Michigan, caught fire for the second time in two days.

The first fire happened Saturday night in front of the building, and the second started on the second floor at about 11 a.m. Sunday, clickondetroit.com reported.

The causes of the fires have not yet been identified.

Both fires have been put out and the investigation is ongoing.

There has been a rise in Islamophobic attacks against Muslim places of worship in the US since the start of the presidency of Donald Trump.

According to a CNN report, on average 9 mosques were targeted every month in the United States in the year 2017.
