In its previous estimates, the organization indicated that the risk of the 2019-nCoV is very high for China, high for the region, and moderate globally.

In a statement, the organization stated that it had corrected the error in the wording in its previous report on the matter.

For his part, the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Sergeyev, considered that the outbreak of the new virus at the current pace may lead to the spread of the disease globally by next March.

The Chinese President, Xi Jinping, instructed the country’s authorities at all levels to take decisive measures to combat the spread of the new coronavirus.
