Afghanistan: Five civilians killed in a US raid in the north of the country

Five civilians were killed, on Saturday, in a US raid targeting locations of the terrorist “Taliban” movement in Kunduz province, in northern Afghanistan.

A spokesman for the state, Nematullah Timuri, said that the American forces operating within the ranks of “NATO” carried out an air raid against the Taliban in the district of “Dashti Arji” of Kunduz.

He added that the raid also targeted civilians, killing five people, noting that the Kunduz state authorities had opened an investigation into the incident.

On the other hand, the American forces in Afghanistan pointed to continuing the investigation to verify the validity of the civilian casualties in the raid.
