Suspicions of infection of 15 police officers with the coronavirus at Jaw prison in Bahrain

Bahrain News Agency today announced that it has obtained special information from Jaw Prison, according to which 15 police guards are suspected to have been infected with the Covid-19 virus.

The authorities began their procedures for examining the infected.

In Bahrain, there is concern about the spread of the virus inside the prison, which includes more than 2000 prisoners of conscience.

Several sources had previously confirmed to Bahrain News Agency today, that the Jaw Prison administration had transferred 60 inmates to a camp adjacent to the prison on (Sunday, May 10) due to a suspicion of having Covid-19.

The administration, along with the Ministry of the Interior, remains silent on the matter, and has not released any information in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the number of people infected with Coronavirus increased in Bahrain, reaching nearly 7,000 cases.
